Fortress DBS501 Smoke Curtain is designed to create a smoke reservoir by containing and limiting the travel of smoke and to channel smoke in a predetermined direction. The smoke curtain will prevent or retard smoke entry to another area or void.

Curtain
BS 476 Fortress 60+ Fire Screen Fabric™ specially designed reinforced woven glass-fibre material coated on both sides with a reflective micronised aluminium polymer with an integrity rating of 60-120 minutes.
Galvanised steel Fortress Ex-12 “Snug-Fit”™ bottom rail fabricated from 1.2mm galvanised steel.
Head Box
1.2mm galvanised steel 175mm x 175mm box assembly houses the curtain operator, barrel and curtain assembly.
Finish
Standard finish is galvanised steel bottom rail and head box.

Operation
BS EN 12453 DBS501 Drive System™ 240 Volt single-phase in-barrel operator with a 24 Volt activation system linked into the building fire alarm system. On receiving a signal from the fire alarm, the control panel will activate the drive-roller mechanism to lower the curtain under controlled descent to a pre-determined height.
In the event of power failure from a mains supply, we recommend that a Fortress FCPB™ Power Supply backup system is used.
NB: Control panel must be fitted to a 6amp/non-switched, fused, maintained essential supply.
